Q: Do you guarantee your work?

A: Yes! We stand behind 100% of our work. If any stains return, so will we, free of charge.


Q: Are you sub-contracted?

A: No. We are family owned and operated. Anyone you speak to over the phone or meet in your home is licensed, insured, and bonded by Accolade Chem-Dry Inc. We do not sub-contract any of our services out to different companies.

Q: Are you better than steam cleaning?

Q: Do I really need protectant?

A: Yes. Protection slows the aging and wearing process of your carpet by half. It also greatly increases its stain and soiling resistance. It is your carpets first line of defense, keeping dirt from sticking to the carpet fibers allowing you to vacuum more out of the carpet.

Q: What should I use to spot clean?

A: Chem-Dry’s Professional Spot Remover is the answer. It is safe for all materials including carpet, upholstery, wool or silk rugs, leather, and vinyl. It contains no soap or surfactants so it leaves no residue in the carpet and stains do not return. It has a neutral PH so it safe for the most delicate fabrics and is green seal certified so it is safe for your whole family. Q: How often should I have my carpet cleaned?

A: The answer depends on several factors, but on average, you should get your carpet cleaned every 8-12 months.  We recommend:

Children and pets = carpet cleaned every 6-8 months.

Asthma or allergies = carpet cleaned every 4-6 months.

Some areas of your house have less traffic and soil than others.  As you plan to get your carpet cleaned, assess what areas may or may not need to be included, for instance the carpet in a guest room needs cleaning less often than the carpet in your kids rooms.

Q: Why do I need to get my carpet professionally cleaned, if I vacuum daily?

A: Daily vacuuming will add to the life of your carpet, but won't get 100% of the soil, dust, dander, and microscopic dirt embedded in your carpet.   The professional techs at Accolade Chem-Dry are educated in types of carpet and how it should be cared for.  We also have an entirely unique method of carpet cleaning from steam cleaners and rental equipment.  

Firstly, we clean carpet without using soap and water.  Soap may clean the carpet temporarily, but will leave a sticky residue, similar to soap scum, in the fibers of your carpet.  This sticky residue will collect soil, dust, dander; and it will happen more quickly than it got soiled before.  Water standing in your carpet can start to produce mold and bacteria within 24 hours.

The more you walk on high-traffic areas of your carpet, the more soil can grind into the fibers.

Your carpet is a large investment that also works as an air filter in your home.  To keep it like new for years, have it cleaned by Accolade Chem-Dry at least once a year.

Q: I've been told that having my carpet cleaned will make it dirtier faster.  Is that true?

A: This is the most popular carpet cleaning myth. However, If you hire a steam cleaner, it's highly likely that this will happen. As you're choosing a carpet cleaner, ask a few questions like - do you use detergent or soap?  How long will my carpet be wet?

This is not true with Accolade Chem-Dry and the processes we use.  Have you ever used club soda to get out a stain on a shirt?  We clean carpet pretty much the same way, with the power of carbonation.  Your carpet will be dry in just an hour or so, and with no soap and water, there's almost no chance to get your carpet resoiled.

Q: My pet left a horrible odor in my carpet, and it won't go away.  Do I have to replace the carpet to get rid of the odor?

A: Absolutely not!  Pet odors can be pretty disgusting, and can linger on for months if not treated properly.
